Wellness Expo in Monticello Focuses on Colon Cancer Awareness: Over 30 Vendors, Free Health Screenings, and More

Wellness Expo to be Hosted by Jefferson & Madison County Health Departments

The wellness expo being held in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness Month will feature over 30 vendors. During a video, Jefferson and Madison County’s Administrator discusses the importance of bringing the expo to the Monticello area. The event is organized by the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee and will offer free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

Administrator Kimberly Allbritton highlights the significance of events like the wellness expo, especially during National Colo-rectal Cancer Awareness Month. The expo aims to raise awareness about colo-rectal health and provide valuable information to the community. The event will also include free produce giveaways and cooking demonstrations by Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

The wellness expo will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, offering a variety of resources and vendors to promote wellness and healthy living.
