Snohomish Tennis Defeats Edmonds-Woodway 6-1; Weather Delays High School Sports Matches

In recent matches, Snohomish emerged victorious in girls tennis against Edmonds-Woodway with a score of 6-1. The team’s singles players, including Emerson Norris, Hannah Wells, Mak Dauer, and Anna Steiner, all secured wins against their opponents from Edmonds-Woodway. Additionally, the doubles teams of Bri Ulrich/Lauren Ellis and Lucy Danitschek/Val Landa-Contreras also contributed to Snohomish’s victory. As a result of the match, Snohomish’s record is now 4-0 while Edmonds-Woodway’s record stands at 1-1.

Unfortunately, the matches between Mountlake Terrace and Marysville Getchell as well as Monroe and Lynnwood were postponed due to adverse weather conditions. In softball, Kamiak defeated Lynnwood with a score of 10-2. Scarlette Chapman, Tyler Karabach, and Aliya Boonsripisal gave standout performances in the game while Nyree Johnson, Briar Knoth and Ashara Taylor also contributed to Lynnwood’s efforts.

Monroe secured a win against Edmonds-Woodway with a score of 20-5 but no specific details were reported. On the other hand, in boys’ soccer Mount Si defeated Lynnwood with a final score of 8-0. However no further details were provided about the match. As a result of this soccer game, Mount Si’s record stands at 5-0 while Lynnwood’s record stands at 2-2-1.

Lynnwood’s softball team will face Stanwood in their next game while the Edmonds-Woodway team will face Cascade. Meanwhile Lynnwood’s boys soccer team will play against Arlington each team’s game will be held at their respective high schools.
