Local Elementary School Students Recognized for Innovative Projects in Fresh Air Science Fair

Bango Honors Champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Students at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recently recognized for their participation in a two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair, which began on February 1st, saw students form teams to work on projects related to clean air pollution concepts. Entries were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The award ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 27th, where winners were announced and prizes were awarded. Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, made a special appearance at the event. The first-place team members each received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams were awarded Bucks merchandise.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s fair for their hard work and creative projects!
