Kynidi Mason Striverson: A Trailblazer for Women’s Basketball and Academic Excellence at the University of Evansville

Mason Striverson earns spot on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

The 2023-24 women’s basketball season has been a successful one for the University of Evansville, and sophomore guard Kynidi Mason Striverson has played a crucial role in their success. Not only has she been a valuable player on the court, but she has also excelled academically.

Mason Striverson was named an Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators after the season, recognition of her achievements both on and off the court. In addition to being a valuable player for the Aces, averaging 11.5 points per game and leading UE in assists with 122 over 32 games, Mason Striverson was one of only three Evansville players to play in all 32 games and the sole player to start in all of them.

Her dedication to both her sport and her studies has earned her this prestigious recognition, highlighting her well-rounded achievements on and off the court. Mason Striverson’s cumulative GPA is an impressive 3.663, as a business management major, and she has earned a spot on the Dean’s List at the University of Evansville twice in her two years. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA, and either play in 90% of the team’s games or start in 66% of the team’s games.
