Jurassic Park: Scarlett Johansson Joins the Cast and Gareth Edwards Returns as Director

Scarlett Johansson in Negotiations for Leading Role in Upcoming Jurassic World Film

Gareth Edwards, the director of blockbusters like Godzilla and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is reportedly in talks with Scarlett Johansson to star in an upcoming Jurassic World movie. The film will be written by David Koepp, who wrote the original Jurassic Park. Details about the plot and the rest of the cast have not yet been revealed.

Johansson, who recently announced that she is done playing Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), may take on a new franchise with the Jurassic World movie. Edwards’ experience as a director and Koepp’s writing skills make this an exciting prospect for fans of both the actress and the Jurassic Park franchise.

The upcoming Jurassic World movie will need to find a way to follow up on the previous trilogy led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The latest installment, Jurassic World: Dominion, was released in June 2022 and received generally positive reviews. If Johansson signs on for the role, it would be an exciting addition to a franchise that has been around for over 30 years.
