Hickman’s girls soccer team was determined to break their three-game losing streak when they faced off against 10-win Jefferson City. The Kewpies were successful in their mission, defeating the Jays with a stunning 6-0 shutout.

The game started off on the right foot for Hickman as Ada Kirkpatrick scored the first goal in the 6th minute. Just six minutes later, Lucy Elfrink added another goal to take Hickman’s lead to 2-0.

Hickman continued to dominate the match, scoring another goal before halftime to lead Jefferson City 3-0. In the second half, the Kewpies stepped up their game and scored three more goals, including one off a corner kick from Kira Hoenes. This secured their victory with a final score of 6-0 over the Jays.

With this win, Hickman’s record now stands at 5-4 for the season, while Jefferson City drops to 10-3. Next up for Hickman is a trip to Smith-Cotton on Friday, while the Jays will have some time off before they face Battle on the road next Monday.
